TANTE ZAMPE kennel: HOW WE BREED

THE PUPPIES are born in the head of the family's room (zwergipnscher and golden retriever) or in Marina's room (borzoi), in a spacious, confortable and warm whelping box. In this way the puppies are taken care of day and night. The best prophylaxis and preventive treatments are put into action already before birth (deworming and vaccination against herpes to the mother; adequate nutrition to aviod hypocalcaemic labours; adequate movement; etc.). Of course the puppies too are given the best treatments and attention (three de-wormings; the first vaccination not earlier than 8 weeks of age; no visit from puppy-buyers before one month of age; outings with puppy-buyers are allowed only after full vaccination coverage and protection, which means 3 weeks after the second one; rich, varied and integrated nutrition; socialization; vet chek-ups; etc.). Prevention is our motto. When the puppies reach the appropriate age they begin to socialize with the rest of the animals of the house. Our Diana (Czech Wolfdog) is an excellent aunt: during the weaning she looks after, educates and entertains the puppies, in order to leave some moments of relax to the mother. We feed our puppies and dogs in the best ways, with top quality dog food and fresh ingredients, specially prepared for them. The puppies are touched and manipulated already in the mother's womb: at a few days of age they already aknowledge our touch, scent and cuddles, always in respect to the mother-puppies relationship. As the puppies grow, socialization is incremented. They are taught to do their business outside or on the dog pads, to walk on leash and some orders or tricks ("come", "sit", "no", "high five", etc.). Puppies will be entrusted only to families who will maintain contact with us. Our services include: assistance, a "puppy bag", medical certificate, free dog pension for the first year (to be agreed on), and orthopedic visit (for golden retrievers).

Labour is starting... and here the first puppy comes, usually the biggerst (in the picture Haze, 500g).

Observing closely the pups one can guess the pup's character already in the first days of life.

Walks in the city with puppies. Puppies learn to walk on leash even in a city (meeting other dogs, walking tidingly, aknowledging the streets, waiting at crosswalks, the sea, seagulls, meeting unkown people petting them, etc.).

The puppipes get accustomed to car travels, and to associate such to positive experiences like walks in the city or runs in the parks. So when they move to their new families they won't vomit or dirty the car, ususally frequent in first car travels.

From time to time some puppies spend the holidays (or only a few days) with us. It is always a pleasure to see they feel completely at ease at at 'home', so the owners can leave without worries. With us they play, run, walk, swim in the sea, and play again. When in harmony time flies, and the dogs don't even acknowledge that the woners left.
